Application Process

Download the Application. After reviewing the information and addressing any questions or concerns with Kathy, Beth or Don, the applicant can send the application to the mailing address indicated with a $25 application fee.

Upon receipt of the completed application, Kathy, Beth or Don will make contact with the applicant in order to schedule an appointment for an interview. At the end of the interview, the applicant will be told if they have been accepted into the class. The new student will be asked to read and sign a Learning Agreement that provides a foundational understanding of guidelines regarding confidentiality, assignments, attendance/absence, payment, etc. The Learning Agreement allows for each person in the program to participate with the same understandings about the expectations of the program.

The class can accommodate as many as 21 students. While we review applications throughout the summer, it is optimal for anyone interested in the program to have their applications submitted as early in the year as possible.

Dying Well by Dr. Ira Byock and Being a Wounded Healer by Douglas C. Smilth are the books that students are required to have before the program begins in September.

The bibliography is extensive and is reviewed and changed every year. While some of the valuable classics remain on the list, many new books and publications are reviewed yearly. It is not required that every book be purchased or read. The purpose of such a lengthy bibliography is to allow each participant the option of focusing on an area of specialization that is of particular interest to them. Payment for the program can be made through Paypal or by cash or check.

Program Cost
